About

Our Story

Aboriginal Believers’ Church was founded by Rev. Levi Samson Beardy, a Cree pastor with a heart to see Indigenous peoples reconnect with the Creator through Jesus Christ — without losing the beauty of their heritage.
The church grew out of the Indigenous CHRISTian Circle, a ministry devoted to sharing the Gospel in ways that honour both the Word of God and Indigenous cultural expression.

From the beginning, the vision has been simple but powerful:

  • A place where Indigenous people can worship in their own identity and language
  • A place where non-Indigenous believers can join in unity, reconciliation, and respect
  • A place where healing, forgiveness, and restoration can take root
  • A circle built around Creator’s love and Jesus’ message of hope for all nations

Our Mission

Our mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in a way that brings spiritual freedom, cultural honour, and community healing.

We exist to:

  • Proclaim the Creator’s love through Scripture, prayer, and worship
  • Support Indigenous individuals and families in Toronto
  • Create safe spaces for men, women, youth, and elders to heal
  • Build understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples
  • Partner with churches and organizations to advance reconciliation

What We Believe

We believe in one Creator, Maker of Heaven and Earth. He has revealed Himself as:

God

The Father

Our Church Is Growing

Who came in human form

The Holy Spirit

Great Spirit, who guides us into all truth

We believe Jesus came for every nation — including the Indigenous peoples of North America.
As Jesus said in John 10:16:

“Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold… and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd.”

We believe that Indigenous identity and Christian faith can walk together in harmony, honour, and truth.
